Aircraft Cabin Interior Technician

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Aircraft Cabin Interior Technician to join their busy maintenance facility in Plymouth . This role focuses on the refurbishment, repair, and maintenance of aircraft cabin interiors, ensuring passenger comfort and safety standards are met. You will work with a variety of materials and components to restore and enhance the cabin environment on commercial aircraft. This is a hands-on role requiring precision, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of interior finishing techniques within the aviation sector, supporting operations in the Plymouth area.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and replacements of cabin interior components, including seats, overhead bins, galleys, and lavatories.
• Carry out cosmetic refurbishment of cabin surfaces, such as carpets, sidewalls, and ceiling panels.
• Install and modify cabin interior systems according to approved drawings and specifications.
• Conduct inspections to identify wear and tear, damage, or defects in cabin materials and structures.
• Ensure all work complies with aviation safety regulations and cabin interior standards.
• Document all maintenance and repair activities accurately.

Requirements

• Experience in cabin interior maintenance, refurbishment, or related trades (e.g., upholstery, carpentry, finishing).
• Ability to interpret cabin interior schematics and repair manuals.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools commonly used in interior finishing.
• Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail for high-quality work.
• Understanding of aviation cabin safety regulations.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
