About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Aircraft Composite Technician to join their dedicated maintenance and repair facility in Plymouth . This role is vital for ensuring the structural integrity and performance of composite components on modern aircraft. You will be responsible for the repair, modification, and fabrication of composite materials, working with advanced techniques and materials to meet strict aerospace standards. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, possesses excellent manual dexterity, and is committed to upholding the highest levels of quality and safety in aviation maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform repairs, modifications, and fabrication of composite structures according to technical specifications.
• Prepare composite surfaces for repair, including cleaning, sanding, and masking.
• Apply composite materials using various techniques such as lay-up, vacuum bagging, and curing processes.
• Conduct non-destructive testing (NDT) and inspections to assess the quality of repairs.
• Maintain detailed records of all repair work performed and materials used.
• Ensure a clean and safe working environment, adhering to all safety protocols.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Aircraft Composite Technician or in a similar composite repair role.
• Proficiency in working with various composite materials (e.g., carbon fiber, fiberglass).
• Familiarity with NDT methods and composite inspection techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, repair schemes, and specifications.
• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
• Relevant certifications or vocational training in composite repair are highly valued.
