About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Aircraft Electrical Systems Engineer to join their innovative engineering department in Norwich . This role is crucial for the design, development, integration, and testing of electrical power distribution, lighting, and avionics systems for aircraft. You will work closely with a team of engineers to ensure that all electrical systems meet stringent safety, performance, and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in electrical engineering principles and a passion for applying this knowledge within the challenging and rewarding aviation industry.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and modify aircraft electrical power systems, including wiring harnesses, distribution units, and control logic.
• Perform system integration and testing of electrical components and subsystems, ensuring compatibility and functionality.
• Troubleshoot and resolve electrical system issues encountered during development, manufacturing, or operational phases.
• Create and maintain detailed electrical schematics, drawings, and technical documentation.
• Ensure all electrical system designs comply with aviation standards (e.g., FAA , EASA ) and company specifications.
• Collaborate with mechanical engineers, software developers, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless project execution in Norwich .

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in designing and testing electrical systems, preferably within the aerospace or automotive industries.
• Proficiency in using electrical CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical).
• Strong understanding of electrical principles, components, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Familiarity with aviation electrical standards and regulations is a significant advantage.
