About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Aircraft Electrical Systems Technician to join their hangar operations in Sunderland . This is a hands-on, on-site role focused on maintaining and repairing the complex electrical systems of various aircraft. You will be instrumental in ensuring the safety, reliability, and performance of aircraft electrical components and avionics. The ideal candidate possesses meticulous attention to detail, a strong understanding of electrical principles, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of aviation maintenance within a busy operational environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, inspect, test, and repair aircraft electrical systems, including wiring, avionics, and power distribution units.
• Diagnose electrical faults using specialized test equipment and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Perform scheduled maintenance tasks on electrical components according to manufacturer specifications and regulatory requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to aircraft instrumentation, lighting, and communication systems.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance, repairs, and inspections performed on aircraft.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to implement modifications and upgrades to electrical systems.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Aircraft Electrical Technician or similar role.
• Strong understanding of aircraft electrical principles, AC/DC theory, and avionics systems.
• Proficiency in using electrical testing equipment such as multimeters, oscilloscopes, and oscilloscopes.
• Ability to read and interpret complex aircraft wiring diagrams and technical manuals.
• Relevant certification or apprenticeship in aircraft electrical maintenance is highly desirable.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and adherence to aviation regulations.
