About the Role

Our client is looking for a meticulous Aircraft Electrical Systems Technician to join their maintenance and repair operations in Portsmouth . This role is essential for maintaining the electrical integrity and functionality of aircraft across their fleet. You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and installing a wide range of electrical systems, ensuring all work is carried out to the highest safety and quality standards, contributing to the overall operational readiness and safety of aircraft operating in demanding environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair faults in aircraft electrical systems, including power generation, distribution, and control systems.
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft electrical components and wiring.
• Install and modify electrical wiring, harnesses, and equipment according to approved technical data.
• Conduct functional tests and inspections of electrical systems post-maintenance.
• Interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals accurately.
• Ensure all work adheres to aviation safety regulations and company quality procedures.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Aircraft Electrical Technician or in a similar aviation electrical role.
• Strong understanding of aircraft electrical principles and systems.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and maintenance manuals.
• Experience with testing equipment and diagnostic tools for electrical systems.
• Relevant certification or apprenticeship in aviation electrical maintenance.
• Ability to work precisely and safely in a workshop or on the flight line.
