About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and reliable Aircraft Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Technician to join their operational team in Liverpool, Merseyside, UK . This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient and safe operation of all ground support equipment essential for aircraft handling and maintenance. You will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and servicing of a wide range of GSE, ensuring maximum availability and adherence to safety standards. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on technician to contribute to a vital aspect of airport operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on various types of aircraft ground support equipment, including tugs, loaders, GPUs, and air start units.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical faults in GSE and conduct necessary repairs.
• Ensure all GSE is maintained in safe working order and meets operational and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of all maintenance, repair, and inspection activities.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and provide on-the-spot repairs to minimize downtime.
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company procedures.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a technician, with a focus on mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
• Experience with maintenance and repair of automotive or heavy machinery is desirable.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Valid driver's license and ability to obtain airport security clearance.
