Our client is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Aircraft Interior Design Specialist to join their team in Norwich . This role focuses on designing and developing innovative and functional aircraft cabin interiors that enhance passenger experience while meeting stringent safety and regulatory standards. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to bring aesthetically pleasing and practical interior solutions to life. Key Responsibilities
- Conceptualize and design aircraft cabin interiors, including seating, galleys, lavatories, and passenger amenities.
- Develop 3D models, renderings, and technical drawings using CAD software.
- Select materials, finishes, and furnishings, ensuring compliance with aviation regulations and weight targets.
- Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and certification teams to ensure design feasibility and adherence to standards.
- Prepare design presentations for client reviews and internal stakeholders.
- Stay updated on industry trends, materials, and technologies for aircraft interiors.
Requirements
- Degree in Interior Design, Industrial Design, or a related field with a focus on transportation design.
- Proven experience in aircraft interior design or a similar design field within the aviation sector.
- Proficiency in 3D modeling and rendering software (e.g., AutoCAD, 3ds Max, SolidWorks).
- Strong understanding of ergonomics, human factors, and passenger comfort principles.
- Knowledge of aviation regulations and certification requirements for cabin interiors.
- Excellent aesthetic sense and creative problem-solving skills.
