Aircraft Interior Systems Technician

About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and skilled Aircraft Interior Systems Technician to join their dedicated team in Portsmouth . This role focuses on the installation, maintenance, and repair of all interior systems within aircraft, including cabin furnishings, entertainment systems, galleys, and lavatories. You will ensure that these systems meet stringent safety, comfort, and aesthetic standards, contributing significantly to the passenger experience and operational integrity. This is a hands-on position within a well-established aviation MRO facility, offering a chance to work on diverse aircraft types.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain aircraft cabin interiors, including seating, carpeting, overhead bins, and sidewall panels.
• Service and repair aircraft galleys and lavatory systems, ensuring functionality and compliance.
• Troubleshoot and rectify issues with in-flight entertainment (IFE) and cabin lighting systems.
• Perform modifications and upgrades to interior systems according to approved drawings and specifications.
• Ensure all work is carried out to the highest quality standards and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain accurate records of all work performed on aircraft interior components.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Aircraft Interior Technician or in a related field (e.g., refurbishment, installations).
• Skilled in working with various interior materials such as composites, plastics, fabrics, and metals.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings, schematics, and installation manuals.
• Experience with electrical systems related to cabin lighting and IFE is advantageous.
• Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail.
• Must be able to work effectively as part of a team in a workshop or on-aircraft environment.
