Aircraft Mechanic - Line Maintenance

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Aircraft Mechanic specializing in Line Maintenance to join their operational team in Plymouth . This role is critical for ensuring the day-to-day airworthiness and operational readiness of the aircraft fleet. You will perform routine checks, minor repairs, and scheduled maintenance tasks on aircraft between flights, ensuring all work meets stringent safety and regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude, excellent troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work efficiently under time pressure in a dynamic ramp environment. This is a hands-on role essential to the smooth operation of our client's aviation services.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct scheduled line maintenance checks and routine inspections on aircraft.
• Perform minor repairs and troubleshooting of aircraft systems, including engines, airframes, and hydraulics.
• Interpret technical manuals, service bulletins, and maintenance directives.
• Replace or repair aircraft components as required, ensuring adherence to specifications.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all maintenance performed.
• Respond promptly to aircraft discrepancies and perform necessary actions to ensure flight safety.
• Ensure a clean and safe work environment in compliance with safety regulations.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Aircraft Mechanic with a focus on line maintenance.
• Possession of relevant aviation maintenance certifications (e.g., EASA Part-66, FAA A&P).
• Strong knowledge of aircraft systems, powerplants, and structures.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
• Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
• Flexibility to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required by operational needs.
