About the Role
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Aircraft Performance Analyst to join their operational team in Sunderland . In this vital role, you will analyze flight data to optimize aircraft performance, fuel efficiency, and operational procedures. You will work closely with flight operations, engineering, and maintenance departments to provide critical insights that enhance safety, reduce costs, and improve overall fleet efficiency. This position is key to maintaining the high standards of operational excellence for our client's aviation services in the Tyne and Wear region.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect, process, and analyze aircraft performance data from various flight operations sources.
- Develop and maintain models to predict and optimize aircraft performance, fuel burn, and payload capacity.
- Identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for performance improvement through data-driven insights.
- Prepare detailed reports and presentations summarizing findings and recommendations for stakeholders in flight operations and engineering.
- Collaborate with technical teams to implement changes that enhance aircraft efficiency and safety.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Aviation Management, Data Science, or a related field.
- Demonstrable experience in aircraft performance analysis or a similar data-intensive role within the aviation industry.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, MATLAB, Python with relevant libraries).
- Strong understanding of aircraft systems, aerodynamics, and flight mechanics.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
