Aircraft Project Engineer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a dynamic and organized Aircraft Project Engineer to manage key development and modification projects within their aviation division, based in Nottingham . This role requires a blend of technical knowledge, project management expertise, and strong communication skills to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will be instrumental in coordinating engineering activities, driving progress, and facilitating collaboration across multiple teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of aircraft engineering projects, from initiation to completion.
• Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets, and monitor progress against them.
• Coordinate engineering activities, ensuring effective communication between design, analysis, manufacturing, and testing teams.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and issues proactively.
• Ensure all project deliverables comply with relevant aerospace regulations and standards.
• Prepare project reports and present updates to stakeholders and senior management.
• Liaise with external suppliers and partners as required.

Requirements

• Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Proven experience in project engineering or project management within the aerospace or aviation sector.
• Strong understanding of aircraft systems and engineering principles.
• Proficiency in project management methodologies and tools.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure.
