About the Role

Our client is looking for a highly competent Aircraft Structures Engineer to join their esteemed engineering department in Manchester . This critical role involves the analysis, design, and modification of aircraft primary and secondary structures to ensure structural integrity, safety, and compliance with stringent aerospace regulations. You will be at the forefront of developing innovative structural solutions for new aircraft programs and supporting existing fleets, working closely with manufacturing and testing teams. Key Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) software to assess stress, strain, and fatigue life of aircraft components.
• Design and develop structural modifications and repairs for aircraft airframes, ensuring compliance with airworthiness directives.
• Create detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and supporting documentation for structural components.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure that designs are feasible for production and assembly.
• Conduct testing and verification of structural designs, including static and dynamic load testing.
• Provide technical support to maintenance and repair teams regarding structural issues.

Requirements

• Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Civil Engineering with a specialization in structural analysis.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in aircraft structural design and analysis.
• Proficiency with FEA software such as NASTRAN, ANSYS, or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of composite materials and metallic structures used in aerospace applications.
• Knowledge of aerospace design standards (e.g., CS-25, FAR Part 25) and material properties.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
