About the Role
Our client requires a skilled Aircraft Structures Mechanic to join their maintenance and repair operations based in Sunderland . This hands-on role involves performing structural repairs and modifications on a variety of aircraft, ensuring the integrity and airworthiness of the airframes. You will be instrumental in maintaining the structural health of aircraft, ensuring they meet the highest safety and performance standards. Working within a dedicated team, you will contribute to the operational readiness of aircraft operating in and out of the Sunderland region, upholding a tradition of excellence in aviation MRO.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform structural inspections, repairs, and modifications on aircraft airframes using appropriate materials and techniques.
- Read and interpret structural repair manuals, engineering drawings, and blueprints.
- Fabricate and fit structural components as required for repairs.
- Ensure all work performed adheres to strict aviation safety regulations and company procedures.
- Document all repair actions and materials used in aircraft maintenance logs.
- Collaborate with other maintenance personnel to ensure efficient workflow and timely aircraft turnaround.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience as an Aircraft Structures Mechanic or similar role.
- Proficiency in sheet metal repair, composite repair, and structural component replacement.
- Ability to read and interpret complex technical documentation.
- Strong understanding of aircraft structural integrity and repair standards.
- Must possess good manual dexterity and physical fitness for the demands of the role.
