About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Aircraft Structures Mechanic to join their maintenance team in Liverpool . This role is essential for maintaining the structural integrity of aircraft, involving the inspection, repair, and modification of airframes, wings, and other structural components. You will work with a variety of materials, including metals and composites, ensuring that all repairs meet stringent aviation standards and safety regulations. Key Responsibilities

• Inspect aircraft structures for damage, corrosion, cracks, and wear using visual and non-destructive testing methods.
• Perform repairs and modifications to airframes, including metal and composite structures, using approved procedures and materials.
• Interpret engineering drawings, structural repair manuals, and technical specifications.
• Fabricate and fit new structural components as required.
• Document all inspection, repair, and modification work accurately and thoroughly.
• Collaborate with engineers and other maintenance personnel to ensure structural integrity and compliance with airworthiness directives.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Aircraft Structures Mechanic or Sheet Metal Worker in aviation.
• Proficiency in working with various aircraft materials, including aluminum alloys, composites, and specialty metals.
• Skilled in using precision measuring instruments, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings, repair schemes, and technical manuals.
• Understanding of aviation regulations and airworthiness standards related to structural repair.
• Strong attention to detail, manual dexterity, and a commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
