About the Role

Our client, a well-established aviation maintenance facility, is seeking a detail-oriented Aircraft Structures Technician to join their operations in Sunderland . You will be responsible for the inspection, repair, and maintenance of aircraft airframe structures, ensuring structural integrity and airworthiness. Working with a variety of aircraft types, you will utilize specialized tools and techniques to perform high-quality repairs. This role is crucial for maintaining the safety and reliability of the fleet and requires a hands-on approach and a commitment to precision.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect aircraft structures for damage, corrosion, and fatigue, using visual and non-destructive testing methods.
• Perform repairs to aircraft skins, frames, and other structural components according to approved technical data.
• Fabricate and fit structural repairs using sheet metal, composites, and other materials.
• Maintain detailed records of inspections, repairs, and modifications performed.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company procedures during maintenance tasks.
• Collaborate with other maintenance personnel to ensure efficient workflow.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Aircraft Structures Technician or similar role.
• Proficiency in sheet metal fabrication and repair techniques.
• Experience with composite repair methods is highly desirable.
• Ability to read and interpret structural repair manuals and technical drawings.
• Knowledge of aviation safety standards and practices.
• Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail.
