Aircraft Structures Technician

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Aircraft Structures Technician to join their maintenance and repair facility in Southampton . This role is hands-on, focusing on the maintenance, repair, and modification of aircraft airframe structures to ensure flight integrity and safety. You will work with a variety of materials, including metals and composites, following precise technical specifications and engineering drawings. This is a vital position for maintaining operational aircraft, contributing directly to the safety and reliability of our client's fleet. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and a commitment to quality craftsmanship in the Hampshire region.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform structural inspections, identify damage, and execute repairs on aircraft airframes according to approved data.
• Fabricate, fit, and install structural components and repairs using precision tools and equipment.
• Work with various materials, including aluminum alloys, composites, and honeycomb structures.
• Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and repair schemes accurately.
• Maintain meticulous records of all structural work performed, including materials used and compliance with airworthiness directives.
• Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Aircraft Structures Technician or similar role.
• Proficiency in interpreting structural repair manuals and engineering drawings.
• Experience with composite repair techniques is highly desirable.
• Strong practical skills in sheet metal work, riveting, and fastener installation.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a demanding MRO environment.
