About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced Aircraft Systems Engineer to join their innovative engineering team, working remotely with occasional site visits to Brighton . This role involves the design, integration, and testing of complex aircraft systems, including hydraulics, fuel systems, environmental control systems (ECS), and landing gear. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the functionality, reliability, and safety of our aircraft, contributing to the development of next-generation aviation technologies. This remote position offers the ultimate flexibility while maintaining a key connection to our operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and integrate various aircraft systems, ensuring compliance with performance and safety requirements.
- Perform system analysis, including performance modeling, failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA), and trade studies.
- Create and maintain detailed system specifications, interface control documents , and test procedures.
- Oversee system testing and validation activities, both on the ground and during flight tests.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system-level issues identified during development, production, or operational phases.
- Collaborate closely with aerodynamicists, structural engineers, avionics engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure holistic aircraft design.
Requirements
- Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Extensive experience in the design, integration, and testing of aircraft systems .
- Proficiency in system modeling and simulation tools (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink).
- Strong understanding of aerospace regulations and certification processes (e.g., EASA , FAA).
- Experience with interface control documents and systems engineering methodologies.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills.
