About the Role
Our client is seeking a talented Analytical Development Scientist to join their expanding research and development department in Nottingham . This role focuses on developing and validating robust analytical methods for the characterization and quality control of small molecule drug substances and products. You will work with state-of-the-art instrumentation and play a key role in supporting drug substance and drug product development programs. This is an excellent opportunity for an analytical chemist to contribute to the advancement of pharmaceutical development within a dedicated and innovative team.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, optimize, and validate analytical methods (e.g., HPLC, GC, KF, dissolution) for small molecule compounds.
- Characterize drug substance and drug product impurities and degradation products.
- Conduct stability studies and interpret results to support formulation development and shelf-life determination.
- Troubleshoot analytical methods and instrumentation issues to ensure reliable data generation.
- Prepare method validation reports, analytical procedures, and support regulatory filings.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Chemistry, or a related scientific field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in analytical method development and validation within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Proficiency with various analytical techniques, including HPLC , UPLC, GC, MS, and spectroscopy.
- Understanding of ICH guidelines and regulatory requirements for analytical testing.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent documentation skills.
