Senior Analytical Development Scientist

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Senior Analytical Development Scientist to join their Quality Control and Development team in Nottingham . This role is essential for developing, validating, and implementing robust analytical methods for new and existing products. You will be responsible for ensuring the quality and compliance of materials and finished products through rigorous testing and method development. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience with various analytical techniques, a strong understanding of regulatory requirements, and excellent problem-solving skills. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and validate new analytical methods for raw materials, intermediates, and finished products using techniques such as HPLC, GC, spectroscopy, and dissolution testing.
• Investigate and troubleshoot analytical method deviations and out-of-specification (OOS) results.
• Transfer analytical methods to QC laboratories, providing training and support as needed.
• Author and review method validation reports, analytical procedures, and validation protocols.
• Stay current with regulatory guidelines (e.g., ICH) and industry best practices for analytical development.
• Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams to support product lifecycle management in Nottingham .

Requirements

• PhD or Master's degree in Analytical Chemistry , Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in analytical method development and validation.
• Extensive hands-on experience with HPLC, GC, UV-Vis spectroscopy, and other relevant analytical techniques.
• Strong understanding of regulatory requirements (e.g., GMP, ICH guidelines) for pharmaceutical analysis.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot analytical methods and solve complex analytical problems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail.
