About the Role
Our client is looking for a highly skilled Analytical Development Scientist to join their expanding laboratories in Stoke-on-Trent . This crucial role involves the development, validation, and transfer of analytical methods for the characterization and quality control of pharmaceutical products. You will work with a variety of analytical techniques to ensure product integrity and compliance. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to pharmaceutical innovation and quality assurance in the heart of Staffordshire , working within a state-of-the-art facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and validate robust analytical methods (e.g., HPLC, GC, KF, UV-Vis) for drug substances and drug products.
- Characterize raw materials, intermediates, and finished products using advanced analytical techniques.
- Investigate and troubleshoot analytical method failures and out-of-specification (OOS) results.
- Transfer validated analytical methods to QC laboratories for routine testing.
- Author method validation protocols and reports in accordance with ICH guidelines and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with formulation, process development, and quality control teams to provide analytical support throughout the product lifecycle.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in analytical method development and validation in the pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong practical experience with chromatographic techniques (HPLC, UPLC, GC) and other relevant analytical instrumentation.
- Knowledge of ICH guidelines, GMP, and regulatory expectations for analytical testing.
- Excellent documentation skills and ability to write clear, concise technical reports.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a collaborative team-player attitude.
