Analytical Development Scientist

About the Role

Our client is looking for a meticulous and experienced Analytical Development Scientist to join their team in Stoke-on-Trent . This role is integral to supporting the development and commercialization of new products by establishing robust analytical methods. You will be responsible for developing, validating, and transferring analytical techniques for the characterization of raw materials, intermediates, and finished products. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to work in a well-equipped laboratory, contributing to quality assurance and product development within a stable scientific organization located in Stoke-on-Trent .

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and validate new analytical methods using techniques such as HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, IR, and KF titration.
• Characterize and test raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products to ensure quality and compliance.
• Transfer validated analytical methods to quality control laboratories and provide necessary training and support.
• Investigate and troubleshoot analytical issues, ensuring timely resolution and implementation of corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory records, including method development reports and validation protocols.
• Stay current with relevant scientific literature, regulatory guidelines, and industry best practices in analytical science.

Requirements

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in analytical method development and validation in a pharmaceutical, chemical, or related industry.
• Hands-on experience with various analytical instrumentation, particularly HPLC and GC.
• Strong understanding of analytical validation principles and regulatory guidelines (e.g., ICH).
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
