Analytical Scientist - Pharmaceutical

About the Role

Our client is recruiting for a diligent Analytical Scientist to join their pharmaceutical research and development department based in Bradford . This position is crucial for ensuring the quality and integrity of pharmaceutical products through the development, validation, and execution of analytical methods. You will be responsible for characterizing drug substances and products, performing stability studies, and supporting regulatory submissions. Working in a GMP-compliant environment, you will contribute to the delivery of safe and effective medicines from our Bradford facility.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, and transfer analytical methods (e.g., HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, dissolution) for drug substances and finished products.
• Perform routine testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished goods according to established protocols.
• Conduct stability studies and analyze samples to determine shelf-life and storage conditions.
• Investigate out-of-specification (OOS) results and implement corrective and preventative actions (CAPAs).
• Maintain analytical instrumentation and ensure compliance with GMP and regulatory guidelines.
• Prepare analytical data summaries, reports, and documentation for regulatory filings.

Requirements

• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in pharmaceutical analytical development or quality control.
• Proficiency with chromatographic techniques (HPLC, GC) and other relevant analytical instrumentation.
• Understanding of GMP requirements and regulatory guidelines (ICH, FDA).
• Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment within our Bradford R&D center.
