Animal Management Lecturer
Location: Northampton Contract: Fixed Term Hours: 0.8 FTE – 4 days per week Duration: Until July 2027 Start: Immediate
The Role
We are currently recruiting for an Animal Management Lecturer to join a college on a 0.8 FTE basis, working 4 days per week.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Animal Management professional looking to move into Further Education, as previous teaching experience is preferred but not essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging Animal Management lessons to learners.
- Plan and prepare lessons and learning materials.
- Support learners with their academic and practical development.
- Assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain a safe and positive learning environment.
- Contribute to the wider Animal Management provision.
About You
We are looking for someone with:
- A strong Animal Management, Animal Science, Zoology or related background.
- Genuine practical experience within the animal sector.
- A passion for sharing industry knowledge with learners.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Teaching or training experience is preferred, but not essential.
- A relevant teaching qualification would be advantageous, but candidates with strong industry experience will be considered.
