About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled and imaginative Animator to join their creative team in Derby , contributing to exciting projects within the Arts & Entertainment industry. You will be responsible for bringing characters, objects, and environments to life through captivating 2D and 3D animation. This role requires a strong understanding of animation principles, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with directors and other artists to achieve the desired visual style and storytelling. You'll play a key part in producing high-quality animated content that engages audiences.
Key Responsibilities
- Create high-quality 2D and/or 3D animations for various media, including short films, commercials, game assets, and visual effects.
- Interpret storyboards and scripts to produce character animation, motion graphics, and environmental animations.
- Collaborate closely with directors, art directors, and other team members to ensure animation meets project requirements and artistic vision.
- Rig characters and objects for animation, ensuring efficient and effective performance.
- Optimize animation assets for performance and integration into final projects.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Animator , with a strong portfolio showcasing both 2D and 3D animation skills.
- Proficiency in industry-standard animation software such as Maya, Blender, Cinema 4D, Adobe Animate, or After Effects.
- Solid understanding of animation principles, including timing, spacing, anticipation, and squash & stretch.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and take direction from supervisors.
- Strong artistic foundation, including anatomy, perspective, and composition.
