Apprentice Plasterer

About the Role

Our client is offering a fantastic trade opportunity for individuals to become Apprentice Plasterers in Plymouth . This is a hands-on apprenticeship where you will learn the art of applying plaster, render, and screeds to internal and external surfaces. Working under the guidance of skilled plasterers, you will gain practical experience on a variety of construction and renovation projects, developing the expertise required for a successful career in the building trade. This role is ideal for those who are practical, have a good eye for detail, and enjoy working with their hands.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in preparing surfaces for plastering, including cleaning, stripping old materials, and applying bonding agents.
• Learn to mix plasters, renders, and screeds to the correct consistency and application.
• Apply plaster coats to walls and ceilings using trowels, floats, and other tools.
• Achieve smooth, even finishes and create decorative finishes as required.
• Install angle beads and rule off corners and edges.
• Maintain tools and equipment, and ensure the worksite is kept clean and safe.

Requirements

• A strong interest in learning a skilled trade, specifically plastering.
• Good manual dexterity and physical fitness.
• Ability to work methodically and pay close attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn different plastering techniques and work with various materials.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions.
• Must be eligible to undertake an apprenticeship program in the UK.
