About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled and certified Arborist to join their team dedicated to the care and management of trees and woody plants in Bristol and surrounding areas. This role involves performing tree inspections, maintenance, and removal services, ensuring public safety and promoting tree health. You will work as part of a team, utilizing specialized equipment and techniques to manage urban and rural tree populations effectively. This is a physically demanding role for a qualified professional passionate about arboriculture and environmental conservation.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough tree inspections to assess health, safety, and structural integrity.
- Perform tree pruning , thinning, and shaping to promote healthy growth and mitigate hazards.
- Safely dismantle and remove trees, including those in difficult-to-access locations.
- Operate chainsaws, chippers, and other arboreal equipment according to safety standards.
- Provide advice to clients on tree care, maintenance, and species selection.
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and tree conditions.
Requirements
- Certification from a recognized Arborist organization (e.g., ISA Certified Arborist).
- Proven experience in professional tree care and maintenance.
- Proficiency in climbing techniques and aerial rescue.
- Knowledge of tree biology, pests, diseases, and pruning best practices.
- Ability to operate and maintain chainsaws and other arboricultural equipment.
- Strong commitment to health and safety regulations.
