Architectural Designer

About the Role

Our client, a forward-thinking architectural practice based in Cardiff , is looking for a talented and enthusiastic Architectural Designer to join their growing team. This role involves contributing to all stages of the design process, from initial concept development and feasibility studies through to detailed design and project support. You will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of projects, including residential, commercial, and public sector developments across Wales . We seek a creative individual with a keen eye for detail and a passion for producing high-quality, sustainable design solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of design proposals, presentations, and planning applications.
• Develop architectural drawings, models, and visualizations using various software tools.
• Conduct site analysis and feasibility studies for new projects.
• Collaborate with senior architects and the wider project team to ensure design quality and consistency.
• Research and specify appropriate materials and building systems to meet project requirements.
• Contribute to the development of technical details and construction documentation.

Requirements

• Degree in Architecture or equivalent qualification.
• Proven experience in an architectural design role, preferably within a practice environment.
• Proficiency in Revit , AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and 3D modeling software (e.g., SketchUp, Rhino).
• Strong visual communication and presentation skills.
• Good understanding of UK planning policies and building regulations.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and manage multiple tasks under direction.
