Architectural Designer

About the Role

Our client is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Architectural Designer to join their vibrant studio in Cardiff . You will play a key role in developing design concepts and producing high-quality visualisations and technical documentation for a range of exciting projects, from masterplanning to individual buildings. This role requires a strong design sensibility, excellent graphic communication skills, and a passion for creating innovative and sustainable spaces. Working closely with the senior architectural team, you will contribute to all phases of the design process, helping to bring ambitious architectural visions to life within a collaborative office environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and refine architectural design concepts and presentations using 3D modeling and rendering software.
• Prepare detailed drawings and specifications for planning applications and building regulations.
• Assist senior architects in project coordination, site visits, and client meetings.
• Research materials, construction techniques, and design trends to inform project development.
• Produce high-quality graphics, including floor plans, elevations, sections, and visualisations.
• Contribute to design workshops and team discussions, fostering a creative and collaborative atmosphere.

Requirements

• A degree in Architecture, Landscape Architecture, or a related design discipline.
• Demonstrable experience in architectural design, with a portfolio showcasing creative solutions and technical proficiency.
• Proficiency in Revit , SketchUp, Lumion, Adobe Creative Suite, and AutoCAD.
• Strong understanding of design principles and the ability to translate ideas into visual representations.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a keen eye for detail.
• Familiarity with UK planning and building regulations is advantageous.
