Architectural Designer

About the Role

Our client is seeking a talented Architectural Designer to join their expanding practice in Birmingham . This role focuses on contributing creative design input and technical expertise to a variety of exciting projects, from initial concept sketches to detailed construction documentation. You will work closely with the senior architectural team and project managers to translate client visions into tangible, buildable designs. This position is ideal for a designer who is passionate about creating aesthetically pleasing and functional spaces and is keen to develop their career within a supportive and collaborative studio environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop design concepts and produce high-quality architectural drawings and visualizations.
• Assist in the preparation of planning applications and building regulation submissions.
• Coordinate with structural engineers, MEP consultants, and other project stakeholders.
• Contribute to design development and specification writing.
• Maintain accurate project records and documentation.
• Research and propose innovative materials and construction techniques.

Requirements

• Degree in Architecture or a related design field.
• Demonstrated experience in architectural design, preferably within a practice setting.
• Proficiency in Revit , AutoCAD, SketchUp, and rendering software (e.g., V-Ray, Enscape).
• Strong understanding of architectural principles and design aesthetics.
• Good knowledge of UK planning and building regulations.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate design ideas clearly.
