Architectural Designer

About the Role

Our client seeks a creative and detail-oriented Architectural Designer to join their busy practice in Birmingham . You will play a crucial role in translating client visions into tangible architectural designs, focusing on residential and mixed-use developments. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, contributing to all stages of the design process from conceptualization to detailed technical drawings, and collaborating closely with senior architects and project managers to ensure the successful delivery of high-quality architectural solutions within a supportive and professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop architectural designs and master plans for a range of projects, from initial concept to detailed design development.
• Produce high-quality architectural drawings, visualizations, and presentations using industry-standard software.
• Assist senior architects in preparing planning applications and building regulations submissions.
• Coordinate with external consultants, including structural engineers and M&E specialists.
• Conduct site analysis and surveys to inform design development.
• Ensure design proposals adhere to project brief, budget, and relevant regulatory requirements.

Requirements

• Degree in Architecture or a related field, with a strong portfolio showcasing design skills.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an architectural practice.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit , and rendering software (e.g., V-Ray, Enscape).
• Good understanding of UK planning policies and building regulations.
• Strong creative flair, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills.
