Architectural Project Manager

About the Role

Our client seeks a seasoned Architectural Project Manager to lead critical projects from their established office in Cardiff . This role requires a blend of strong architectural acumen and exceptional project management skills to deliver complex schemes on time and within budget. You will be responsible for overseeing all phases of the project lifecycle, ensuring seamless coordination between design teams, contractors, and stakeholders. This is a key leadership position within the practice, contributing significantly to the successful delivery of high-profile developments across Wales and beyond, fostering strong client relationships and upholding the firm's reputation for quality and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage multiple architectural projects simultaneously, from initial briefing to final handover.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and resource allocation plans.
• Coordinate and lead project meetings with internal teams, external consultants, and clients.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant building regulations, health and safety standards, and contractual obligations.
• Oversee the procurement process and manage contractor performance.
• Proactively identify and mitigate project risks, resolving issues as they arise.

Requirements

• Professional qualification in Architecture or a related construction management field.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in project management within the architectural or construction industry.
• Demonstrated success in managing large-scale, complex building projects.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and software.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
• Familiarity with contract administration and dispute resolution.
