About the Role

Our client is looking for a detail-oriented Architectural Technician to join their established practice in Birmingham . You will play a crucial role in translating architectural designs into accurate technical drawings and specifications, supporting the architectural team throughout the project lifecycle. This position requires a strong technical skillset and a keen eye for detail, working on a variety of residential and commercial projects. You will be part of a supportive team dedicated to delivering high-quality architectural solutions across the West Midlands region.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed architectural drawings, plans, and specifications using CAD and BIM software.
• Prepare technical documentation, including measured surveys and construction details.
• Assist senior architects with project administration and site supervision.
• Ensure compliance with current building regulations and construction standards.
• Liaise with contractors, consultants, and local authorities as required.
• Maintain project records and drawing registers.

Requirements

• HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Architectural Technology or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years' experience as an Architectural Technician.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is essential.
• Good understanding of construction methods and materials.
• Familiarity with UK building regulations and planning procedures.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
