Architectural Technician

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and dedicated Architectural Technician to join their established team in Stoke-on-Trent . This role is crucial in bridging the gap between design and construction, producing high-quality technical drawings and documentation for a diverse range of projects. You will work closely with architects and engineers, ensuring that all technical aspects of the designs are accurate, compliant, and constructible. The position requires a meticulous approach and a strong understanding of building regulations and construction methods, contributing to the successful delivery of projects within the Staffordshire area and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce detailed architectural drawings, plans, sections, and elevations using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Prepare technical specifications and schedules for materials and construction elements.
• Ensure all drawings and documentation comply with current UK building regulations and standards.
• Coordinate technical drawings with engineers and other consultants.
• Assist architects with site surveys and investigations.
• Support the team in preparing tender and construction packages.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Architectural Technician or Architectural Technologist.
• Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD is essential; BIM experience is highly desirable.
• Solid understanding of UK building regulations and construction practices.
• Excellent technical drawing skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team and manage individual tasks efficiently.
• Relevant qualification in Architectural Technology or a related field.
