Architectural Technician

About the Role

Our client is looking for a detail-oriented Architectural Technician to support their busy practice in Portsmouth . This role is crucial in translating architectural designs into accurate and comprehensive technical drawings and documentation required for planning, building regulations, and construction. Key Responsibilities

• Produce detailed technical drawings, construction details , and specifications using CAD and BIM software.
• Assist architects in preparing planning application and building regulations submission documents.
• Conduct site surveys and accurately record existing conditions.
• Coordinate technical information with engineers, contractors, and other consultants.
• Ensure all technical documentation complies with relevant standards and regulations.

Requirements

• HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Architectural Technology or a related field.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is essential.
• Experience in producing technical drawings for various construction projects.
• Good understanding of UK building regulations and construction processes.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
