Architectural Technician

About the Role

Our client is looking for a detail-oriented Architectural Technician to join their established practice in Birmingham . You will play a crucial role in translating architectural designs into precise technical drawings and specifications, supporting the project team from concept through to construction. This hybrid role offers a balance of in-office collaboration and remote flexibility, allowing you to contribute effectively while maintaining a good work-life balance. You will work closely with architects and other professionals, ensuring the technical accuracy and feasibility of our building projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce detailed architectural drawings, plans, sections, and elevations using CAD software.
• Prepare technical specifications and schedules for materials and construction methods.
• Assist in the preparation of planning applications and building regulations submissions.
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and other consultants to resolve technical queries.
• Undertake site inspections to monitor progress and ensure compliance with design specifications.

Requirements

• HND or Degree in Architectural Technology or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as an Architectural Technician.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other relevant architectural software.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and UK building regulations.
• Excellent technical drawing and communication skills.
