About the Role
Our client is looking for a skilled Architectural Technologist to join their established practice based in Coventry, West Midlands, UK . This role focuses on the technical aspects of architectural design, translating creative concepts into buildable solutions. You will be instrumental in producing detailed construction drawings, managing technical documentation, and ensuring projects comply with all relevant building codes and standards. Working within a dedicated project team, you will contribute to a wide array of projects, enhancing the efficiency and accuracy of the design and construction process for developments across the West Midlands region and beyond.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce detailed technical drawings, specifications, and schedules for construction.
- Ensure all architectural documentation complies with current building regulations and British Standards.
- Liaise with engineers, contractors, and suppliers to coordinate technical details.
- Manage the technical aspects of project delivery, including site monitoring.
- Utilize BIM software to create and manage models and technical drawings.
- Assist the project architect in technical problem-solving and design development.
Requirements
- HND or degree qualification in Architectural Technology or a related field.
- Demonstrable experience as an Architectural Technologist, preferably within a UK practice.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit, with a strong understanding of BIM principles.
- Thorough knowledge of UK building regulations and construction processes.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and manage multiple tasks.
