Job Description
My client, an award-winning, multidisciplinary consultancy based in Maidstone, is looking for an Architectural Technologist to join their expanding team. With a strong regional presence and an enviable portfolio of projects spanning multiple sectors, this is a practice where Architectural Technologists work as a key part of the multidisciplinary team, giving you genuine breadth of experience and a truly collaborative working environment.
The Role
As an Architectural Technologist, you will play a central role in bringing complex designs to life, from coordinating construction information to developing innovative detail solutions across a wide variety of sectors including Education, Commercial and Industrial.
Key Responsibilities
The role involves developing fully coordinated design, technical and construction information to support projects from concept through delivery. It requires creating detailed solutions, preparing specifications (including those produced through NBS Chorus), and advising on appropriate materials.
You will be responsible for ensuring all work meets current Building Regulations, industry standards and essential health and safety obligations. You will act as a central liaison with clients and statutory bodies to help secure necessary approvals, while managing your own workload confidently and contributing effectively within a high-performing, multidisciplinary team.
What We're Looking For
Degree level qualification in Architectural Technology or equivalent
3+ years post qualification experience
CIAT Chartership (Desirable)
Strong technical design knowledge and understanding of the UK construction process
Full proficiency in Revit & AutoCAD (Essential)
Working knowledge of BIM Level 2
Strong knowledge of Building Regulations and construction working methods
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
