About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Architectural Technologist to join their busy practice in Birmingham . This role is crucial for translating creative architectural designs into practical, buildable technical drawings and specifications. You will work closely with architects and project managers, ensuring that all technical aspects of construction are meticulously planned and documented. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional to contribute to a diverse range of projects, including commercial, residential, and institutional buildings, within a supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed technical drawings, plans, and specifications for construction projects.
• Utilize CAD and BIM software to produce accurate and comprehensive documentation.
• Liaise with contractors and consultants to ensure technical drawings are up-to-date and reflect site conditions.
• Conduct site surveys and assessments to gather necessary information for design development.
• Assist in the preparation of tender packages and contract administration documentation.
• Ensure compliance with building regulations, British Standards, and health and safety legislation.

Requirements

• Relevant qualification in Architectural Technology or a related field.
• Proven experience as an Architectural Technologist, preferably within an architectural practice.
• Proficiency in Revit , AutoCAD, and other relevant design software.
• Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and building regulations.
• Excellent technical detailing skills and a meticulous approach to documentation.
