About the Role
Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Architectural Technologist to join their established practice in Birmingham . You will play a crucial role in translating architectural concepts into practical, buildable solutions, working closely with architects and project managers. This position requires a strong technical aptitude and a keen eye for detail, ensuring that designs are accurately documented and meet all regulatory requirements. You will contribute to a range of exciting projects across various sectors, embodying the firm's commitment to design excellence and efficient construction processes. This hybrid role offers a balanced approach to working, combining in-office collaboration with the flexibility of remote work.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce detailed technical drawings, specifications, and schedules for construction projects using BIM software .
- Ensure design proposals comply with building regulations, planning policies, and relevant UK standards.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and other consultants to resolve technical queries and site issues.
- Conduct site inspections and surveys to monitor progress and ensure adherence to design intent.
- Manage technical documentation and maintain project records efficiently.
- Assist in the preparation of tender packages and construction phase information.
Requirements
- HNC/HND or Degree in Architectural Technology or a related discipline.
- Proven experience as an Architectural Technologist, preferably within a UK architectural practice.
- Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD is essential; experience with Navisworks is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of construction technology, materials, and building regulations.
- Excellent technical drawing and documentation skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative team in a hybrid working model.
