Architectural Technologist

About the Role

Our client is looking for a meticulous and technically skilled Architectural Technologist to strengthen their team in Birmingham . You will play a crucial role in translating architectural designs into buildable reality, focusing on technical detailing, building regulations compliance, and producing detailed construction documentation. This position is ideal for an individual with a strong understanding of construction methods and materials, who enjoys problem-solving at a technical level and can ensure projects are delivered efficiently and to a high standard. You'll be an integral part of projects ranging from urban regeneration to bespoke new builds, contributing to the firm's reputation for quality and innovation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop detailed technical drawings and specifications for construction using BIM software .
• Ensure all designs comply with current UK building regulations and technical standards.
• Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and other consultants to resolve technical queries during the construction phase.
• Prepare tender documentation and assist in the procurement process.
• Conduct site inspections to verify that construction work aligns with design documentation.

Requirements

• HNC/HND or Degree in Architectural Technology or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience as an Architectural Technologist.
• Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD is mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of UK building regulations and construction best practices.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure.
