Area Cleaning Supervisor

About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and organised Area Cleaning Supervisor to manage cleaning teams across several sites in and around Edinburgh . You will be responsible for ensuring that all cleaning operations are carried out efficiently and to the highest standards, maintaining client satisfaction and team morale. This role requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a thorough understanding of cleaning methodologies and health and safety protocols. Your oversight will be critical in maintaining the pristine condition of various client facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise the daily activities of cleaning staff across multiple locations in the Edinburgh area.
• Conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality of service and adherence to cleaning schedules.
• Manage cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring they are adequately stocked and maintained.
• Train and induct new cleaning staff, providing ongoing support and performance feedback.
• Respond promptly to client requests or issues related to cleaning services.
• Ensure compliance with all health and safety legislation, including COSHH.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Cleaning Supervisor or in a similar leadership role is required.
• Knowledge of cleaning products, equipment, and industry best practices.
• Strong understanding of health and safety regulations in a cleaning context.
• Excellent people management and communication skills.
• Ability to plan and organize work effectively within a defined area .
• Must possess a valid driving licence and access to a vehicle for travel between sites in Scotland .
