About the Role

Our client is seeking a creative and inspiring Art and Design Teacher for a secondary school based in Bristol . This role involves nurturing students' artistic talents and fostering their appreciation for various art forms across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will guide students through diverse mediums, techniques, and art history, encouraging critical thinking and personal expression. The aim is to cultivate creativity, develop practical skills, and prepare students for potential further study or careers in creative industries, ensuring they are equipped with a strong artistic foundation.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Art and Design lessons, covering a range of disciplines and techniques.
• Provide constructive feedback on student work, encouraging creativity and technical development.
• Manage art resources and ensure a safe and inspiring studio environment.
• Promote an understanding and appreciation of art history and contemporary art practices.
• Organise and supervise art exhibitions and extracurricular art activities.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• A degree in Fine Art, Art and Design, or a related creative field.
• Experience teaching Art and Design at the secondary school level.
• Proficiency in a variety of artistic mediums and techniques.
• Strong communication, organisational, and creative problem-solving skills.
