About the Role

Our client is seeking a creative and inspiring Art Teacher to join their thriving secondary school in Stoke-on-Trent . You will ignite a passion for the visual arts in students, guiding them through various mediums and techniques to develop their artistic skills and critical thinking. This role involves planning and delivering engaging lessons, managing studio resources, and fostering an environment where creativity can flourish. You will collaborate with fellow educators to integrate art across the curriculum and contribute to the school's vibrant cultural life, ensuring students are exposed to a wide range of artistic expressions and historical contexts, enriching their educational experience and personal development.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and inspiring art lessons to secondary school students.
• Teach a range of art disciplines, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital art.
• Manage art resources and materials effectively, ensuring a safe and well-equipped studio environment.
• Assess student progress through projects, portfolios, and critical analysis, providing constructive feedback.
• Encourage creativity, critical thinking, and appreciation for art history and contemporary practice.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• A degree in Fine Art, Art History, or a related subject.
• Proven experience teaching art at the secondary school level.
• Strong knowledge of various art techniques, materials, and art history.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
