About the Role

Our client is looking for a creative and inspiring Art Teacher to join a dedicated team at a thriving school in Stoke-on-Trent . You will be responsible for nurturing students' artistic talents and encouraging creative expression through a diverse range of art forms and techniques. This role is essential for fostering imagination, critical thinking, and aesthetic appreciation within the student body. The ideal candidate possesses a strong portfolio, a passion for art education, and the ability to create a dynamic and engaging learning environment that celebrates individuality and exploration.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging art lessons covering various media, techniques, and art history.
• Develop students' skills in drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, and digital art, among others.
• Assess student work, providing constructive feedback to foster artistic growth and understanding.
• Create and maintain an inspiring, well-equipped art studio environment that encourages creativity and exploration.
• Promote an understanding and appreciation of art and design within the school community.
• Organise and oversee student exhibitions and participate in school arts events.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• A degree or equivalent qualification in Fine Art, Art Education, or a related field.
• Proven experience teaching art at the secondary school level.
• Proficiency in a wide range of artistic materials and techniques.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students.
