About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly dedicated and caring Assistant Headteacher with responsibility for Pastoral Care to join their leadership team in Wolverhampton . You will lead initiatives aimed at promoting student welfare, developing strong relationships with students and families, and upholding the school's values. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the school's pastoral care systems, including behaviour, attendance, and student well-being initiatives.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures related to safeguarding, child protection, and student welfare.
- Provide support and guidance to students facing challenges, working collaboratively with parents, staff, and external agencies.
- Oversee the work of form tutors and support staff involved in pastoral care.
- Contribute to the overall strategic leadership and management of the school, promoting a positive and respectful school ethos.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with significant leadership experience.
- Demonstrated experience in safeguarding, child protection, and pastoral care.
- In-depth knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices in student welfare and behaviour management.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lead and inspire a team focused on student well-being.
