Key Responsibilities

• Support the Headteacher in the overall leadership and management of the school.
• Lead on specific areas of the curriculum and pedagogical development, driving school improvement initiatives.
• Oversee a key stage or department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
• Conduct teacher performance management and support staff professional development.
• Contribute to strategic planning, policy development, and school self-evaluation processes.
• Deputise for the Headteacher as required, managing day-to-day operations and resolving issues effectively.

Requirements

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a strong record of successful teaching in a primary setting.
• Experience in a leadership or middle management role within a school.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and inspire staff and students.
• In-depth knowledge of the national curriculum and current educational best practices.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Evidence of successful implementation of school improvement strategies.
