Motor Vehicle Skills Trainer / Assessor Location: Tyne and Wear Pay: £25 - 30 per hour (Temporary) Hours: Part-time – 2.5 days per week (0.5 FTE) Contract: Temporary Start Date: ASAP Are you an experienced Motor Vehicle Trainer or Assessor looking for a flexible, part-time opportunity? The Role

As a Motor Vehicle Skills Trainer / Assessor, you'll play an important role in supporting learners through their apprenticeship programmes, providing practical guidance, assessing competence and ensuring they develop the skills needed to succeed in the workplace. Your key responsibilities will include:

Delivering training and assessment across relevant automotive, engineering and maintenance apprenticeship programmes. Conducting workplace visits to assess learners' practical skills and progress. Carrying out regular reviews with apprentices and employers to support achievement and progression. Maintaining accurate learner records and updating e-portfolio systems. Supporting the delivery of accredited qualifications, commercial training and individual training units where required. Working closely with employers, learners and awarding organisations to ensure high-quality training and assessment. Helping learners build confidence, develop their technical knowledge and achieve their qualifications. What We're Looking For Essential:

A recognised Assessor qualification (such as A1, D32/D33 or CAVA). A Level 3 qualification in Motor Vehicle / Automotive Studies or a closely related discipline. Strong practical knowledge and experience within the automotive industry. Good communication and organisational skills. A genuine interest in supporting apprentices and helping others develop their skills. Desirable:

Previous experience assessing apprentices in a workplace setting. Experience using e-portfolio systems. Knowledge of apprenticeship standards, assessment requirements and awarding body processes.
