About the Role

Our client is looking for an enthusiastic Automation Electrical Engineer to join their dynamic team in Bradford, West Yorkshire, UK . This role is central to the design, implementation, and optimisation of automated manufacturing processes. You will work hands-on with control systems, robotics, and PLCs to enhance production efficiency and safety. Key Responsibilities

Design and develop electrical control systems for automated production lines, including schematics and panel layouts.
Program and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and VFDs to ensure seamless operation of automated machinery.
Integrate new automation technologies and equipment into existing manufacturing processes.
Conduct root cause analysis of electrical and automation failures and implement corrective actions.
Collaborate with mechanical engineers, production staff, and external suppliers on automation projects.
Ensure all automation systems meet relevant safety standards and compliance requirements, such as Functional Safety .

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related automation field.
Proven experience in designing and implementing industrial automation systems .
Proficiency in PLC programming (e.g., Siemens TIA Portal, Rockwell Studio 5000) and HMI development.
Experience with robotic systems (e.g., KUKA, ABB) is a plus.
Strong understanding of electrical schematics, control panel design, and industrial networking.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills within a fast-paced manufacturing setting.
