About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled Automotive Electrician to join their busy service centre in Birmingham . This role focuses on the diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of all automotive electrical systems in a variety of vehicles. You will be instrumental in ensuring that vehicles are safe and compliant with electrical regulations. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail and a methodical approach to troubleshooting complex electrical faults, contributing to the reputation of reliability and quality service that our client is known for in the West Midlands region.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair automotive electrical issues, including wiring, lighting, battery, and charging systems.
• Install and service electronic components such as alarms, audio systems, and navigation devices.
• Perform electrical system checks as part of routine vehicle maintenance and pre-purchase inspections.
• Utilize diagnostic equipment and wiring diagrams to pinpoint and resolve electrical faults efficiently.
• Ensure all electrical repairs meet safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with other technicians to ensure seamless vehicle repair and maintenance processes.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Automotive Electrician or a similar role.
• Strong understanding of automotive electrical principles and circuit diagnostics.
• Proficiency with multi-meters, oscilloscopes, and specialized automotive diagnostic tools.
• Familiarity with various vehicle electrical systems and component functionalities.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and wiring schematics.
