Automotive Electrician

About the Role

Our client is seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Electrician to join their expanding service centre in Glasgow . This role focuses on the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems and components in a wide range of vehicles. You will be responsible for diagnosing electrical faults, fitting accessories, and ensuring all electrical work meets stringent safety and quality standards. This is a hands-on position for an individual with a keen eye for detail and a passion for automotive electrical systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex electrical faults in vehicles, including wiring, lighting, and electronic control modules.
• Install and test automotive electrical accessories, such as sound systems, navigation units, and alarms.
• Perform routine electrical maintenance and inspections to prevent future issues.
• Ensure all electrical work complies with current regulations and automotive standards.
• Work collaboratively with other technicians to ensure efficient vehicle repair and servicing in Glasgow .

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Automotive Electrician or similar role.
• Strong understanding of automotive electrical systems, schematics, and diagnostic tools.
• Proficiency in using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other electrical testing equipment.
• Relevant qualifications such as an NVQ Level 3 in Vehicle Electrical and Electronic Systems Maintenance or equivalent.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced automotive environment.
